Fats That Fight Inflammation and Improve Skin

When it comes to our bodies, they’re pretty powerful tools.  The past few years have led to so much more information and research in relationship to what we eat and how it affects our bodies in ways most of us really didn’t realize.  The good news is now we know more than we used to – because you don’t know what you don’t know, right?  One of the major struggles that experts have found is affecting our bodies in a lot of negative ways is the result of inflammation from certain foods and other factors.  Inflammation has been found to really wreak havoc on our bodies in countless ways, including our skin.  Luckily we found fats that fight inflammation and improve skin to help you to start to eliminate some of the inflammation in your body in a natural way.

Omega 3-Fatty Acids
You’ve probably heard of omega 3-fatty acids a time or two in your life, especially in the past few years.  It’s because they’ve been found to be incredibly helpful to our bodies and health in so many different ways.  This is a type of fat that our bodies don’t create naturally, however we do need them in our diet.  The only way to get omega-3 fatty acids into your body is through eating foods that are high in them or through supplements.  Researchers have found that adapting a healthy amount of omega 3-fatty acids into your diet greatly decreases the amount of inflammation in your body and can really help your body to heal itself in powerful ways – especially skin related!

Other Omega Fats
While omega 3-fatty acids are known to be great for your health, there are also other types of omega fats that are incredibly beneficial to our bodies.  Incorporating healthy fats that are high in omegas like nuts and avocados have been found to be incredibly helpful to reducing inflammation and also really do wonders for the skin.  Many of these types of fats have been found to smooth your skin, reduce acne and even impact the flare-ups of psoriasis and eczema.  In addition, adapting more healthy fats like avocados have been found to really help with inflammation in the way that reduces acne and signs of aging – talk about powerful foods!

Olive Oil
Often times when we think of eating healthy and eliminating inflammation in the body we may naturally think that we should stay away from oils, but olive oil is a really healthy fat that’s been found to reduce inflammation in the body.  Actually, many experts recommend looking for plant-based fats (like olive oil) for inflammation reduction.  Incorporating some of these plant-based  fats into your diet is not only going to help reduce the inflammation in your body but also help with clearing up your skin with acne and even helping to reduce the signs of aging that you may be experiencing.

Inflammation really does do a number on our bodies and skin, incorporating a healthy amount of these types of fats into your diet can help you to minimize some of those struggles to help you get that gorgeous skin you’ve been wanting.
