Sunscreen is imperative during the spring and summer months, and its high time you take advantage of the protection it can offer you. Depending on the latitude and longitude of where you live, and the climate where you live, the sun’s rays may be more harmful than other places in the world. Take no chances with your skin’s health. Melanoma is the deadliest form of skin cancer, and more and more cases are being diagnosed each year – with women leading the list – due to improper sun protection. That is why want to make sure you take it upon yourself to slather this stuff on before any sun exposure. Be sure not to overdose on sunlight as well. A little bit is all you need – limit your exposure to avoid harmful implications. Aside from skin cancer scares, you can also run the risk of bringing on pre-mature aging and wrinkles. If you want to look your best but don’t feel like wearing a ton of foundation on your face during the hot months when the sun can melt your products off in a minute, why not try some tinted moisturizer? Simply add a drop or two of your favorite foundation to your moisturizing cream and blend well, then apply to your face and neck. Not only will your face hold the color and the moisturizer, but you’ll get two things out of the way at once. It’s a win-win situation!
Don’t Layer on Heavy Cosmetics
As mentioned above, during the spring and summer months, heavy cosmetics are never a good look for spring – unless you are going to be in an air conditioned building. Err on the side of caution and avoid looking messy and unkempt by utilizing less products and more pops of color in areas such as the lip. Opt for an ombre lip, or a winged eyeliner look to set your look off. Try some mineral powdered foundation rather than a liquid foundation.
